The agreement
By using Hayai, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
What Hayai is
A web-based personal markdown notes application. You own the content you create; we provide hosting and synchronization. You can export your data at any time.
What you may not do
- Use Hayai to store or transmit malware, illegal content, or protected health information (HIPAA-regulated data).
- Attempt to access another user's account, data, or session.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or stress-test the service without written permission.
- Use Hayai for commercial bulk operations (mass account creation, automated content generation at scale).
Service availability
Hayai is provided "as is" without warranty. We aim for 99.5% monthly availability. Scheduled maintenance and outages may occur; data is backed up via our Postgres provider's continuous WAL backups.
Termination
You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms. On termination, your data is hard-deleted.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Hayai's total liability arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim, or zero if you are a free-tier user.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If we make material changes, we will notify users by email or in-product banner at least 14 days in advance.
